What is "Green By The Pound"?

 Green By The Pound is a program the encourages everyone to bring in their used/unwanted textiles or overstocks if you are a retailer, instead of throwing them in the waste bin which eventually end up at landfills and pollute our planet. Join us in our fight for a green planet pound by pound. Through this program we hope to accomplish the following yearly: 

• Increase Textile Recycling Rates

• Reduce Post-Consumer Textile Wastes by at least 21,120,000 lbs, thus saving the city & taxpayers $464,640 as it costs $44 per ton just to unload or dump the waste at a landfill.

• Reduce Methane emissions, a harmful greenhouse gas and a significant contributor to global warming

• Create Jobs

How can i participate? 

Are you in Fargo, North Dakota or close by? If you answered yes to that, you can simply drive to our collection and sorting facility and drop off your clothing. We take clothes, shoes, bags, belts, sheets, blankets, towels, stuffed animals, & Toys.
